Hen and Chick succulents (click to see info?)
These little gems need full sun* and well drained soil.*
Hens and chicks are desert babies which means they are accustomed to very little water and even soil. We suggest bottom watering them when soil completely dries out - once a month should do the trick.
How to bottom Water:
Place the duo into a shallow bowl - 1/4 filled with water.
Let them drink 5-15 min. or whenever you see that the soil is moist all the way to the top.
Now allow them to hang out for a few minutes to drain the excess water. It’s that simple!
*Full sun means there is no barrier that creates shade (curtains or blinds, a tall tree or building) between the plant and the light source (a sunny window). This is where your plant will receive the most direct light. Let them soak up the sun for about 6 hours daily.
*Well drained soil for succulents means mimicking their natural environment - sandy, gravelly soil. We used FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil to get you started.
Fun Fact: Winter makes plants sleepy
Just like us, all plants need to rest so during cool winter months cut back on watering and don't be worried if they stop growing - it’s totally natural :)
