Hen and Chick succulents
Sunlight - Let them soak up full sun (where your plant will receive the most direct light) for about 6 hours daily .
Water - These gems are desert babies which means they are accustomed to very little water and even soil. We suggest *bottom watering (explained below) when soil completely dries out.
Soil - well drained works best for succulents. It helps to mimic their natural environment (sandy, gravelly soil). We used FoxFarm Ocean Forest Potting Soil plus sand and pumice to get you started.
Fun Fact - During the winter months some varieties of these succulents magically change into vibrant colors!
How to bottom Water
Place plant into a shallow bowl - 1/4 filled with water.
Let them drink 5-15 min. or whenever you see that the soil is moist all the way to the top.
Now allow them to hang out for a few minutes to drain the excess water. It’s that simple!
Winter makes plants sleepy
Just like us, all plants need to rest so during cool winter months
cut back on watering and don't be worried if they stop growing
- it’s totally natural :)
